Proces operator Aluminium

Our client, Nedal Aluminium, produces aluminium profiles and is currently looking for a process operator for the moulds department. A challenging and above all an independent position within a beautiful process.

 In the extrusion department, all kinds of aluminium profiles are produced by pressing aluminium through the moulds. These moulds must be well maintained and end up in the moulds department after use within the production process. Here they are industrially cleaned with caustic soda during a chemical process by different machines.

Together with one direct colleague, you are responsible from A to Z in the department during your shift. You take care of ordering or cancelling the caustioc soda in time to keep the process running. When the caustioc enters it has a concentration of 50% and must be properly mixed to 25% concentration to which it must be properly heated. Together with your colleague, you take care of this chemical process and do not lose sight of safety and associated instructions. You know how to set up the machines well and think ahead together with your colleague.

It concerns a position in the two-shift shift where you work one week from 06:30 to 15:00 and the following week from 14:30 to 23:00.

What we are looking for:

• You preferably have experience in a production environment;
• You know how to deal well with work instructions for safety;
• You are independent and responsible for keeping the department running during your shift together with a colleague;
• You would like to learn and develop yourself into a full-fledged operator within this industrial process;
• You are available in a two-shift shift.

For this job we offer:

•   A challenging position as a process operator with the prospect of a permanent contract;

•   A salary from €12.99 depending on age and experience excluding shift allowance;
•  A standard shift allowance of 13%;
•  5 % ADV;

The production of aluminium guide tubes (busbars) can also be seen as a typical Nedal speciality. Nedal Aluminium has 3 extrusion presses, allowing a wide range of aluminium profiles to be extruded. Profile weights up to 100 kg per meter, in various alloys and up to 30 meters in length, are possible. We prefer to look for candidates with some technical experience in a production environment. You don't need to know the exact process yet as long as you're willing to learn.
